Ebro Angling Tours is the brain child of Richard
Davies, a long term carp angler with over twenty six years experience
in the game of carp fishing. He is helped along by his partner Natalie,
who makes sure that the admin side of your holiday is running at 100 percent.
Over the past six years, Richie has put some stunning fish from Carp to
Cat fish in the hands of his clients. This is due to the extensive knowledge
that Richie has gained working both the Rivers Ebro, and it's tributory,
the Segre. This is a must for such a large
expanse of water such as these two rivers. This knowledge is second to
non when it comes down to fish location, and also being able to read the
different fishing situations throughout the various weather conditions.
Both of these rivers are now internationally renowned and hold many different
fishing situations along with a huge number of specimen fish. This is
why our customers return year after year to fish this wild and well stocked
river system. We don't just stitch up one peg for the entire season, and
pride ourselves on holding knowledge of many productive swims which this
river holds.
We are situated in the village of Mequinenza, Aragon which borders Catalunya,
and virtually sits at the foot of the Pyrenees. Barcelona is approximately
one and three quarter hours away, with Reus being a one and a quarter
hours drive. If you wish to make it a family affair, then the Costa Daurada
is reachable with a drive of just over an hour. Mequinenza, once witness
to some of the most bloody battles during the Spanish civil war of 1936
until 1939, is situated virtually at the confluence of the rivers Segre
and Ebro, which makes it an ideal base to come and fish for some of the
most hard fighting fish in Europe. And while you wait for those reel screaming,
rod bending takes, relax and enjoy the stunning and mind soothing scenery
that this part of North Eastern Spain has to offer. From the terrific
landscape to thermal gliding birds of prey, along with many other species
of wildlife.
